Our Story

The CulinaryPrep story is similar to other product stories that involve a unique idea, a new process that delivers greater benefits than originally planned and a few people that truly believed they could make a difference. So, here is the story of how CulinaryPrep evolved from the development of a new process to make food taste better but ended up with an innovative consumer product that delivers both better taste and better health.

CulinaryPrep was designed and developed by the team at Creative Culinary Solutions after years of perfecting their process in the restaurant and food services marketplace. This turned out to be the ideal place to perfect a product that greatly improves the taste and flavor of food while at the same time, making the food much safer to eat.

Early on, the Creative Culinary team had met an entrepreneur while doing market research in the Midwest. They were drawn to this man and his ideas because he had passion, intelligence and a true sense of innovation. This man, Bill Groves, developed a process to make food taste better and remove bacteria and food borne contaminants at the same time.

The Creative Culinary team was excited about the Grovac™ Process because of its ability to make food safer to eat, but they also envisioned other possibilities and uses. The Creative Culinary business was primarily focused on seasonings and they had an idea—that Bill’s vacuum tumbling process might be used to infuse flavors into meat as well. They were right, and this innovative combination was the birth of Creative Culinary Solutions!

Creative Culinary Solutions began by selling food tumblers to restaurants. At first, these tumblers were only available in larger commercial sizes. Restaurants and food services companies used these food tumblers to quickly marinade meat, fish, seafood and poultry. The vacuum tumbling process enabled a chef to achieve a perfectly marinated piece of meat in 15-20 minutes, versus soaking meat in a marinade overnight and ending up with a less than a perfectly flavored piece of meat.

Based on their commercial success, the Creative Culinary group developed a home version of the restaurant model, the CulinaryPrep™ counter top appliance. The first product of its kind for in-home use, CulinaryPrep is a smaller version of the same food tumbler used today by restaurants and food services companies throughout the country. CulinaryPrep gives consumers the ability to prepare great tasting, fresh food that is virtually guaranteed to be free from contaminants, in the comfort of their own homes.

Like the microwave oven, food processor and most recently, home coffee and espresso machines, CulinaryPrep is positioned to be the next kitchen counter top appliance that will change the way we prepare our foods.
